Make a date with destiny in two historical romances from the American frontier. After the ravages of the Civil War, Travis Logan vowed to give up doctoring. Despite weeks of facing marauders, Heaven Wharton is still bound and determined to protect her father’s homestead. Then the two meet under fire, and Heaven changes everything. With a ruthless gang of n’er-do-wells on their trail, ranchers Zeph Parker and Charlotte Spence flee across the West in hopes of returning two orphaned Amish children to their extended family. Then they run headlong into love.

weatherlover1U.P MiAge: 35-44Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Two Great Books!February 5, 2014weatherlover1U.P MiAge: 35-44Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is two novels in one book. The first story is A Bride's Dilemma by Diana Lesire Brandmeyer. Heaven is trying to keep herself and her sister safe as they wait for their father to come back. When she accidentally shoots a trespasser she and her sister work to nurse him back to health. They find out that Travis has been with their father when he died and now owns their small ranch. As Travis heals he comes to care for Heaven.
The 2nd story is A Brides Flight from Virginia City, Montana by Murray Pura. Charlotte is a well-respected rancher running her spread as well as any man. With all her family gone she is working hard to keep her ranch running smoothly. Zephaniah is a neighbor. He finds two Amish children who had hidden from an attack on their family. Charlotte had grown up Amish and take the children in and soon finds herself along with Zephaniah on a train with the kids heading to Pennsylvania to take the children to their relatives but danger is following them and past secrets await them.
What I liked: Both these books where good. Both the plots were interesting and I liked the characters a lot. A Brides Flight has some suspense and a few surprises along the way which I really enjoyed. A Bride's Dilemma was a little more predictable but still quite enjoyable.
What I did not like: Not much both books where very good.
Over all I really liked this book. Both the novels were enjoyable and makes it worth the buy just for the two in one. If I have to pick a favorite of the two I would go with A Brides Flight. I really enjoyed the suspense and how it kept me interested all the way through. I highly recommend this great historical romance collection!

Wow what a life. I'm not very good at reading war books or the ones filled with aftermath I'm just too soft-hearted for all the pain there and the unthinkable things that were done to the innocent civilians. But authors like these two just make you wish there were more books like that.
I really enjoyed Heaven and Angel and especially the doctor and his quiet stubborn way of wooing Heaven and wanting her more than everything else given to him by her father.
The was only one thing that left me hanging was the future of her friend and ex-fiancé. What really happened to them? Is there a follow up book?
Well the second was absolutelly no surprise since I read books by Murray Pura before and just like before he didn't dissapointed with his tallent to grab your attention and make such a culminating ending to this story. Seraphim's last meeting with his sister Lauren brought forth so many conflicting emotions. I know he was a terrible person but at that moment I, just like Zephaniah, wished things turned differently.
Lovely, clean, and captivating stories that will make your heart flatter and cry with the characters and make you think deeply about priorities in life.
Get it and enjoy it. You wont be disappointed.

The authors include fun characters, interesting situations, descriptive writing and an all around interesting story line.
It was a little predictable but I tend to enjoy that with these genre. It keeps the reader interested in the story to see if their assumptions of what will happen actually take place in the story.
I enjoyed watching the characters grow in depth and maturity throughout the book.
For those of you needing a cozy winter read, this could be it!
