This is Derek Webb's finest moment in my opinion. The preaching and stories between songs are just about worth the price, but the songs themselves are great. The stripped down, bare style makes it even more intimate. The price tag of $1.99 is ridiculously cheap, making this too much of a deal to pass on. It's too bad that Webb lost a lot of this fire (or has redirected it to unfortunate things). Don't let his recent work and views put you off, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL.
This is what it's like to be at a Derek Webb concert. Excellent acoustic sets of some old favorites as new as a preview of what was at the time upcoming material. Some of his best and most challenging songs "I Repent" and "Wedding Dress" appear on this album.
This is a fine record. Derek Webb's sincerity and commitment to God's Word come through in his music. We need to be challenged like this more often in our Christian lives. His vocal on the first track isn't so good, but it gets better from there on. For $4.00, you can't go wrong with this one.
