  1. 5 Stars Out Of 5
    Depression by Ed Welch

Great little book to help someone who is dealing with depression and needs a word of hope. Short, but concise. This would be good for anyone dealing with depression or has given up on Christianity because of their struggle with depression. There is an evangelistic focus to it as well.

I would have liked the author to develop more content on this subject. 24 pages, in my opinion, are not enough to justify a serious look at a subject that is complex in nature. I found it to be rather simplistic. While it is a good overview, it lacks meat to put on the skeleton material presented.

Page 11, "Ask the person to keep talking until it sounds like good news and you believe it." affirmed what a friend had requested of me "because it helps."
