The book 360 degree life is an easy read filled with so many testimonies of Gods work in the lives of people all over. With truths such as: That same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead can come to live inside you! You can be transformed and born again from the inside out. The old you will pass away, and you will be a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). 360 Degree Life seeks to step a person through ten ways you can live more richly, deeply, fully. With Chapters covering such issues as:Resurrection Overcoming Fear and Anxiety You Can Make a Difference The Power of Your Words Courage During Change and Uncertainty Hearing God's Voice What God Thinks of You Rising Above Your Circumstances Second Chances Restoration Giving Thanks Pressing On The Promise of Eternity 360 Degree Life is an easily read book laced with biblical truth. There are several areas throughout the book where you are presented with testimonies from real people in real life situations where The Lord has acted mightily. Unfortunately, there is little or no scriptural support provided for the change in these individuals lives. As a result readers are not presented with a biblical basis for hope in their own life. This book presents itself as a manual of sorts for a 360 Degree Life, a life as presented in Billy Joe Daughertys life statement. It falls short. The information may have been more effective in a devotional style with some key scriptures attached to each testimony and a further study area with proof texts.
This is one of those books that reminds us as Christians why we should not get discouraged and bogged down by the mundane or annoying details of life. It encourages us to "keep our eyes on the prize" and remember that we can be victorious through Jesus. In my own experience, these things are more often easier said than done. However, the book tells some really amazing true stories of God's miraculous hand in life events that shift the focus from our need for control and place it back where it should be.
