Kyle Idleman has written a compelling challenge to the idols that have been taught as the norm-even in our churches-for several generations. I originally bought this as a graduation gift for one of my students but the Lord whispered that I needed a copy for me, too. I immediately gave that copy away and will order it whenever a beloved young person ends up on my gift list.
A phenomenal reveal of the acres of potential idols sometimes hidden in our every day life. Sometimes hidden because until we recognize the common worldly habits, things, people and thoughts we place before God, it's taken for granted we do not seemingly have the typical idol statue per se. Kyle Idleman definitely shed light on the black and white as well as "gray area" landmine of idols as well as trained the heart and mind to identify idols. I thoroughly enjoyed the study of this book and highly recommend it to assist in clearing out the clutter to reach a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
