i love how deanne tells the history of the struggle of women.
the message is about waiting on God, using your sensibility and walking in the freedom of who God made you to be. note that at first i was a little worried where her charechter's path was going, but it all makes sense in the end.
this is my favorite story (both books) of all deanne's story.
i loved how the first one ended, with the consequences of sin. (that was a surprise)
and the second story, how God redeems it all.
a lot of history wrapped in a story line that will keep your attention.
Alright, so I wrote an incredibly long review for the first book in this series, so I'll try to cut it short for this one... :)
Deeanne Gist is one of my all time favorite authors, and in this book, she didn't disappoint! It was superbly written and researched and the whole story was wonderful! Deeanne really knows how to pace her stories, when to put the romance and where to add a little suspense.
I'd highly recommend this book to all historical fiction fans, and although it would help to have read the first book, I don't think it would be completely necessary. This is a great love story, and it was certainly worth reading!!!
