A decade ago, dc Talk released an album that forever changed Christian music and ushered in the modern age of Christian rock. Jesus Freak: 10th Anniversary Special Edition not only revisits this epic work but it digs deeper and sheds new light on the original album with all-new remixes, rare and live songs from the Jesus Freak tour.

This is probably one of the best cds on the market. Every song on here touches your heart and makes you just celebrate the glory of God & his son Jesus Christ. Regardless of your age, this cd should be a part of your music collection.

Jesus Freak, the 10th Anniversary edition is a great initiation into DC Talk if you're brand new to their music. If you bought the original, this edition will be a nice addition to your collection. Featuring all new remixes, DC Talk sounds as fresh today as it did a decade ago. Makes me wish they were still recording.

This changed christian music forever. We don't think about it, but we hear more pop and rock when we listen to christian music. Jesus Freak just, made things so different. But Jesus Freak has great accompaning songs on this album like "Between you and Me, In the Light, What if I stumble". This changed things forever, plus it is a great album. BUY IT NOW!!!

What can be said about the original "Jesus Freak" album other than it is a great rock album (and a landmark album) for the CCM audience - a true classic that forever changed the face of "Christian rock". However, disc two of this set is a letdown in a sense. The remixes are interesting alternatives to the original arrangements (except for the remix to "Mind's Eye"...which is truly is a swing and a miss). Unfortunately, the rest of the second cd is a combination of previously released tracks (2 tracks from the original Jesus Freak cd single, 3 tracks from "Welcome to the Freakshow", one track from the "Solo" cd, and a re-release of the "In the Light" instrumental from the "In the Light" cd single. Don't get me wrong, these are great songs by an iconic group but the second cd could (and should) have been so much more. It would have been nice to have featured more unreleased material from the Jesus Freak recording sessions (rough demo versions, "a making of" video, interviews, etc.). However, I do recommend this 2 disc set for the "ardent enthusiasts" and collectors of all things dct.
