I love this book! My son bought this book for a friend a while back, who was struggling in a job she hated. He liked the book so much, that I started recommending it to people I came into contact with, who seemed unhappy in their jobs as well. As luck would have it, my son became one of those people. At his request, I bought this book for him as a birthday gift. After asking his permission, I read the book and found it to be an easy read with great guidance and information to help people find work that they can be happy in and that is rewarding. This is a quick read and just what they are looking for! I am very fortunate in that I work in a field that I love with a wonderful boss whom I hold in the highest regard and this book reaffirmed that for me. What a blessing this book is to the many people who are struggling and facing the challenges of work. Life is too short to work at something you hate. So, if you have a friend or loved one who wonders if they are in the right place, tell them to read this book! Run, don't walk to get a copy!

I believe the overall focus of this book is done well, which I believe is to try and get each person to think about what we as individuals likes in work, career and play. Do not expect to get career counseling from this book. There are too many variables for each individual to direct everyone who reads this book to their most fulfilling career. Take time and honestly answer the questions he poses at the end of each chapter, spend time in prayer and the spirit will bring you the answer. Knowing what you like to do will take a lot of personal thought. I have prayed for you that this book will help you in your quest. Please do the same for me.

I would have to agree with the previous posting. This book sheds no new light on the career search process and doesn't offer any new solutions to help people make a change.

48 Days to the work you love is a scam. The book speaks in vague generalities and never leads you to figuring out the work you love. The book is filled with more stories of other people than anything else and lots of redundant repetition about the vague content mentioned. The climax of the book you would think, would be helping you discover what career paths might lead to the work you could love, what you should do in life, instead its a link to a web-site on page 73 where you are asked to pay another 28.50 to fill out a career profile. You can take a look at a sample career profile, its 33 pages of more vague content. If the sample profile was your own you would be just as lost as when you first read the book and took the online profile due to its rather lengthy possibilities and vagueness. You might as well look at your horoscope! If you want to waste your time and money then this is the book for you. Need more convincing then go to their web-site 48days.
