Who hasn’t struggled at times with foot–in–mouth disease? Certified behavioral consultant Deborah Pegues knows how easily a slip of the tongue can cause problems in personal and in business relationships. That is why she has put together a 30–day devotional to help readers tame that unruly member and turn it into an asset.
Readers will learn to
- stop saying the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong way
- learn to use words that build others up
- avoid the pitfalls and consequences of lies, flattery, and exaggerations
Short stories, anecdotes, soul–searching questions, and scripturally based personal affirmations combine to make each chapter tongue–and–life–changing.

I have found this book very useful in making me think before letting words come out of my mouth. It has given me insight into why I have trouble with my tongue, and how to control my words better. I'm looking forward to using my new skills to better my relationships in and out of my family.

This was my second time getting this book. I purchased it as a gift for a co-worker who saw me reading it and became interested in the small portion that he read. I will be buying more to give as gifts in the near future. This book really makes you think before you speak.

When I purchased this book. I was curious of it's contents. After reading it. I started to put it to use. The complaining tongue is a great resource for me, because so many people complain about things that go on at work. Instead of listening to them just for them to blow off some steam. I am able to tell them to go to the person that is able to make the change. That way I don't have to get upset. It is an awesome resource for me.

This book is a must have in every christian household!!!! I definitely could relate to the kind of tongue I sometime have. As a christian woman, it's important to know when to speak up and when not too.
For the price of this book it's a bargain!!!

My husband and I are in the process of reading this book and it is (by far) the best $5 I've ever spent in my life! Each day tackles a different kind of tongue (argumentative, gossiping, lying...) and gives verses from the Bible along with examples. Definitely a must buy! Very affordable at $5 too :)

A book we all should read. It's better to know when to speak and when to listen this way we don't feel bad about saying something that we should not have said.
