needs accuracy I wanted this to use (in small segments) in my adult Sunday class. It is divided into 30 sections of about 5 min. each. That is great. The setting is realistic and well acted and I wasn't worried about "boring" since I planned to use only 10 or 15 min. at a time to give a visual feel for what we were studying. Unfortunately, it varies from the truth in little ways that could have easily been done right. It starts with King Saul but he is neither tall nor handsome - a disappointing way to start. David is better. I will use segments and I'm sure everyone will enjoy them. April 30, 2013

Extremely bad, boring & not-biblical movie Bought to show for bible study class while studying OT. But the movie does not follow the bible at all - takes way too much liberty in making conversations and scenes that are not in the bible. Its very poorly acted and displayed. And its very long and extremely boring - I couldn't finish but 1 hour of the 3. If you could ever get your money back on a movie, this would be the one. March 18, 2011

Finally, a good movie! I care to disagree with the previous reviews. This movie was pretty close to the scriptures with very little discrepancy compared to a lot of so-called Bible movies out there. I do wish David would have been a little more sorrowful and remorseful when he was praying. It was quite dry. But overall one of the best that the Bible collection has produced. February 18, 2011
