Hmm, thought I when I first heard this album, and then I followed along with the words (enclosed)and marveled at the message, the talent, the realism, of this artist. David is the real thing, as they say. His love for God, family, country and certainly for music shows always. I love this album. I love its variety, the excellent sounds, the passion, and yeah, I love the fun. That last song is so cute. I am 74, just thought you ought to know! Mickey

David Phelps new CD, "One Wintry Night" is the best song I have ever heard done by any Christian artist. When I started listening to the first song, "Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel" my heart soared to the sound of that beautiful voice and the arrangement he gave it. I felt like someone had thrown ice water over me. God is certainly in the CD and most certainly in David Phelps life. David is the best tenor I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. I love "Oh Holy Night" and no one does it like David.

Not one of David's better efforts. It sounds as if he is trying too hard to make the sound something different from his normal. I found the album difficult to listen to.

this album is glorious!!! the only disappointment was that time was WASTED on 3 secular songs blue Christmas, and 2 S Claus songs..they were performed well, but they interrupted and intruded into an otherwise wonderful worshipful scriptural-based CD. Next time, I hope he leaves those out and does longer versions of "What Child is This", "Silent Night", and "Away in a Manger".
"The Singer" lifts my spirit and mind to focus on the wonder and glory of God. "One King" and "Hark the Herald" do the same.Well worth the time to listen to it over and over--more than worth the money spent.
