I love to read Dee Henderson's stories. She has an element of mystery and intrigue along with the romance growing in the background. She makes us wait for the details of the kidnapping and why the character has suffered for so many years. The protection by her brother of the main character is admirable and the faithfulness of her hero to stand by her through the resolution.
I was so disappointed in this book. I don't see how this book is getting five star ratings. I really thought it would be good. I've read The Witness and it was great. The characters are flat. Sara & Adam's relationship is sickening. The story just dragged on and on. The author kept saying the same thing over and over. Then, she would throw in a few suspenseful moments and then she was back to the repeats. I want to read this O'Malley series but, if the rest of the books are like this one, never mind. It will be a while before I attempt to read them.
I love this book! I have always liked Dee Henderson's writing, but I think this one might be my favorite. The storyline is excellent in both the romance and suspense departments and had me hooked the entire time. You should definitely read this book.
