Publisher's Description

Jack and Molly Campbell are right where they want to be, enjoying an idyllic life with their four-year-old son Joey, and the close family and friends who live in their small hometown just outside Atlanta. Then the phone call comes from the social worker the Campbells never expected to hear from again. Three states away in Ohio, Joey's biological father has just been released from prison. He is ready to start life over, but not without his son.
A judge's quick decision deals a devastating blow to the Campbell family: Joey must be returned to his biological parents. The day after the ruling, in the silent haze of grief and utter disbelief, they watch their son pick a dandelion and blow the feathery seeds into the wind.
In the days that follow the ruling, Jack Campbell has a desperate and dangerous thought. What if they can devise a way out? Then they could take Joey and simply disappear . . . LIKE DANDELION DUST.

This can be very hard to read at times. But stick it out and you will be rewarded.

I am not a Karen Kingsbury fan but this book was recommended by my daughter and so I gave it a try. I am glad I did.

It is a very good book and has many twists and turns. It gives a person a lot to think about.

I loved how the child ended his prayer "Gee this name".

Now I am anxious to see the movie.

What an awesome book! Just before it ended, my heart was pounding and I was feeling afraid of what might happen. I don't want to spoil it for you, so I will not explain that comment. This was a very emotional story - lots of tears, and wonder at how things would play out. As always, Karen Kingsbury delivered a top notch tale. I don't know where she gets her marvelous ideas. This is adventurous, emotional, sweet, and powerful. You will really be able to become one with the characters. And what a blessing to see how God works "all things for good" in this story. I hope you will buy this book - you will not be sorry.

I highly recommend it. Good for adults and teens.

What an amazing piece of work! Excellent incites into the world of adoption from each party's stand point. Great exposure of the need for biblical principles to be in place in our social services departments. Deals with the real fears and great joys of the adoptive parents and the great loss the birth mother feels when loving the child enough to place him/her into a healthy family. Also brings out clearly the trauma children face when their world is shaken.

I bought the book for my daughter in law who LOVES Karen Kingsbury's books. She said this one was very good as well and she wants to see the movie that's coming out by the same name. I was only surprised by the size/ print type of the book. The book itself and the print is much smaller than Kingsbury's other books - because it is a mass market edition, I suppose.
