Beautiful, captivating novel When I started reading Dancing with Jesus, I was amazed to discover all of the wonderful history intertwined in the story of young Abia and her family. I feel as though I had a thorough lesson in biblical history as I read the touching story of Abia's life. The author created a beautiful tapestry, just like Abia's family created beautiful linens as they worked together in the family business. Here is one particularly magnificent excerpt, "He proceeded in the dance until His last breath was spent, and with that last breath He declared, 'It is finished.' For His last dance movement, He bowed His head in a silent salute and gave up His spirit, so she, His Bride, in the near future, could have His spirit and live." Wow! This book is a must-read for all Believers, and it would be a powerful tool to share with those who don't yet know The Risen King. It shows the loving and compassionate heart of God through the sacrifice of His Son better than anything I've read before. I hope this is the first of many novels by Linda Fitzpatrick. April 2, 2012

Invitation to the Dance This book is an invitation to the Body of Christ, both corporately and individually, both within and outside the walls of the church, both saved and yet to be saved, to enter the dance of eternity and dance with Jesus. This is a beautifully choreographed piece of art. It stirs the heart of the reader to become the worshiper God is desiring - those who will follow His lead and become one with Him in perfect harmony. There are many in the Body of Christ whose walk has been attacked by the enemy. I believe this book gives hope that Jesus is going to bring healing to us and that we will once again dance with Jesus. This book brings the story of John the Baptist and Jesus and the early church alive. You can imagine yourself as being right there. But this book continues to invite the present-day church to become part of the dance. It shows how powerful dance is in bringing heaven to earth and in warfare and protection. The picture I got from this book is the Body of Christ being one with her Beloved in perfect harmony, where we hear the Holy Spirit's instruction for each step and follow His lead as our dance partner and offer praise and worship to the King who gave all to win our love. Praise is a powerful weapon of warfare. As we praise God, He fights our battles for us. I believe that great things will happen as the bride of Christ answers this invitation to dance with Jesus following the lead of the Holy Spirit. It is a picture of the Spirit and the Bride saying, Come Lord Jesus. I particularly liked the comparison of Jesus carrying the cross as Him dancing with His reluctant, stubborn bride. This portrayed in a powerful way the love that God has for the whole world. When I think of this analogy which is in the book, I think of Cinderella. I believe Jesus is inviting through this book all of the unknown Cinderellas to His ball to dance with Him. Nehemiah 4:2 asks "....Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble--burned as they are?" Yes, God gives us beauty for ashes. This book is an invitation for the church to dance with Jesus, but it also an invitation for the church to bring in the broken and trashed people who Jesus danced with on the way to Calvary so that they too can be part of His bride and dance with Him. He is desiring to transform them just as Cinderella was transformed and dance with them at His ball. Tell us a little about yourself. I am a worshiper who dances for and with the Lord. As a prayer minister I love watching how Jesus can heal the biggest wounds of our lives.

What was your motivation behind this project? Having been on a dance ministry team for many years I have been fascinated with John the Baptist's beheading with dance being the weapon of choice. This project came as a result of studying this story in the Bible.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project? It is my desire that those who dance for and with the Lord will have a greater understanding of its power and for those who haven't, they will try dancing with Jesus.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project? In many ways the main character in the book is me and her story mine. The difference is I wasn't privileged to have lived during Jesus' time.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Beth Moore is someone who has always inspired me by her writing and by her sharing the gospel through her Bible studies.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Dancing With Jesus is an incredible honor and I pray everyone who reads this will be inspired to draw closer to our Bridegroom, Jesus. He wants a dancing Bride!
