This particular edition of the book is the Teacher's Edition. However, I don't like the format of this book for that purpose. The book is set-up so that you can photocopy the entire student section, then the answers are squished down on a few pages at the end of the book.
We used Easy Grammar 5 last year and it was great, my kids learned so much over the course of they year. I figured this year we'd just use this workbook and review daily as opposed to reteaching all they had learned last year. I purchased for my 5th and 6th graders each Daily Grams Book 6 workbook and this book for myself. I have already found that there are some areas they need to review, so it is very helpful for practice and for finding areas of struggle.
As for this specific edition, I do not like that I have to flip back and forth in order to help them check their answers. The answers in the back of this book don't also state the question. Within the Easy Grammar Teaching Editions there is a student page and a teacher's page side by side. Those are much easier to use. With the Daily Grams, they just kind of missed the mark on that. I would be happier to pay less for a straight up TE without reproducible pages.
All that said, it does provide a valuable daily grammar resource and I am glad we are using it.
In hindsight, I did decide to buy the grade 6 Easy Grammar tests and TE so that we can have further review in any lesson my children may have a struggle with.
I do REALLY like the Easy Grammar line of products! Generally, they are very affordable too!! :-)
Easy Grammar is really easy! I have tried many English programs and this one has been the best so far! Daily Grams are a great way to get our English lesson started. I know my child is getting what he needs. I love it! I showed the program to my daughter who is a school teacher, and she said she wished she would have had Daily Grams in her classroom last year!!
