This one has no answer key but we do love the Daily Grams
August 13, 2015
Surprise, there is no answer key in the back of this version. I have loved Easy Grammar for years, but was bit disappointed when we started the daily grams and there were no answers in the back. I though maybe it was a misprinted book-- no, there are two different versions-- one with answers and one without. Wish I had known that before purchase. The company was very helpful though to get me the answers I needed.
Last year my children took a standardized test for the first time. They had just completed fourth grade and one scored at a third grade level in capitalization and punctuation. After that, I knew we needed addition grammar practice. I use Daily Easy Grammar as a supplement to our Bob Jones English curriculum and it allows my children to quickly review punctuation and capitalization skills on a daily basis without causing an extreme burden of addition school work. They actually enjoy doing it and ask to do it before our English and Reading lessons. I also like the additional work with parts of speech, analogies and writing compound sentences. It takes them about 5 minutes to complete. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy, quick review for kids who need additional help with grammar.
Quick, effective lessons/review for each day! They are great especially if you have a child that hates or gets upset about long lessons. This keeps it short but it reviews thoroughly. We use it as a supplement to our language arts curriculum.
My son is in 5th grade and he was struggling with english. I tried different things and then was referred to daily grams from the administrator of our school. It didn't sound like there was much work each day in comparison to what we were doing and I didn't think it would be enough to cover everything he needed. After getting the book and working in it for a couple of days my son told me "mom, I love english now." It covers what he needs in short sections that repeat throughout the book to ensure he gets it but it doesn't work him into hating it. We are now happy to do english.
