QNicky5 Stars Out Of 5Good productMay 4, 2011QNickyThe concept is simple; introduce a type of map rotating the area of the map. The private school and public school in my area went over one map each year and checked off geography for the year. Friends said their children hated the typical 4th grade "U.S. Regions" program. Since we had used the Daily Geography program, our child already knew the types of maps and had introductions to the states, so studying the regions could truly build on the commonalities between the regions' states and was more fun (definitely without the frustration and boredom). At first we would do all 5 daily lessons on one map in one day. But later realized that splitting into several days gave our child an opportunity to see the map several times - this actually helped a lot with retention and we wish we had done that from the beginning (hard to resist but leads to better academic success).
