There is an epidemic going on in the Church today. Many Christians hold on to offenses and maintain a "me first" attitude. In this last season, we must learn how to have compassion, truly love each other, and become one as the Body of Christ. Anna Aquinos book seeks to open our eyes, soften our hearts, and move us to extend blessings to one another as we come together in unity. This book will help heal the hearts of peopleboth in the Church and in the worldwho have been hurt by the spirit of Balaam. You will:
• Learn that the spirit of Balaam brings division by causing Christians to criticize (curse) each other.
• Understand how spiritual Amnons violate the Body.
• Be challenged to examine your ways and humble your heart before God.
• Be motivated to love your brothers and sisters in the Lord compassionately.
Anna Aquino writes, "We in the church need to wake up, have compassion, and start loving the hell out of each other. The spirit of Balaam is moving through the churches at a rapid pace. Its up to us as the Church to stop it."
Anna Aquino is a child of God, wife, mother of two girls, writer, guest minister, and motivational speaker. She is the author of many books. She and her husband Dan founded Doveagle Ministries and are based out of Kissimmee, Florida.
"There is an epidemic that has plagued many churches today. It is a fast spreading disease that seeks to destroy those who will give it a voice. If it is not identified and dealt with, it can ruin lives and churches through its subtle schemes. Anna Aquino exposes, articulates and gives timely truths to protect those who are in the path of the "curse of the spirit of Balaam. Read this book and avoid its dangerous effects."

Claire SeattleSeattleAge: 45-54Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Exposing the Spirit of Balaam in the ChurchJune 23, 2012Claire SeattleSeattleAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4‘Cursing the Church or helping It' offers an insightful look into the Spirit of Balaam. The author's theme through the entire book is to counter the spirit of offense and bring the Body of Christ, the Church to a place of unity. Gossip, slander and pretention are the most common tools used to curse our brothers and sisters in Christ which ought not to be.
Balaam's story as presented by the author is a lesson for us that, in the author's words, "just because a person can flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit doesn't mean they have character" which means that it is by fruit (godly character) that we can see the genuineness of living a Christian life. The author exhorts us to be real and honest with each other. To live a lifestyle where we notice and care for the needs of those around us, to show true godly agape love.
The church has been living in a slumber and has lost compassion and empathy for our fellow man. The author believes that a season is coming where we the church, will have to rely on each other and realize that the government cannot save us. Jesus Christ is our Savior. We are exhorted to mature into the things of the Lord and become part of the solution.

What makes this an interesting book is the way it is written. She puts her life stories throughout. You understand that she has lived it, and if she can get through it, you can, too. Through this light way of writing, you learn, too.
She gets across to not put others down so as to puff yourself up. This is what causes divisions. Through this others will and do leave the church...and some never return to a church again.
What is needed, as she says, is unity in the Church...not just the local church, but the Church of God. We are His representatives, and we much act like it. The Body of Christ need not be divided.

Aquino calls the church and individual Christians to unite in a spirit of love and compassion in her book "Cursing the Church of Helping It?" a wakeup call to the dangers of pursuing the spirit of Balaam. Her writing is candid, articulate, and convincing.
My eyes were opened to the realization of the important lessons drawn from Balaam's errors. His name is mentioned specifically in seven books of the Bible:
· Numbers 22 - 24
· Deuteronomy 23:4-5
· Joshua 13:22
· Nehemiah 13:2
· 2 Peter 2:15
· Jude 11
· Revelation 2:24
There are dozens of other reference alluding to the nature of Balaam's sins clearly indicating God's displeasure. I was impressed with the Aquino's broad scope of well documented research. These resources are an import tool for future study.
Anna shares stories from her experience to illustrate truths from the scriptures, sometime in heartbreaking stories, and at other times relates humorous incidents to bring home a lesson. The reader is challenged to self-examination and motivation to take action by intentionally extending compassion to others in an effort to unify the church and bring honor to the name of Christ.
"Cursing the Church of Helping It?" is an excellent Biblical study exposing the spirit of Balaam.
