I bought this to give to my husband. The only thing I was disappointed about was the "card" on the back. I thought it was more solid but it's cheap like cardboard and won't look nice. So I assume you take the cross off and hang it without the cardboard because the cardboard looks cheap and takes away from the Cross.
I have been looking for Christian symbols to hang in my apartment and when i saw the nail cross i said to myself that is something i really want to hang in my house. It represents the cross on which our sin was nailed to and defeated and also it is where our salvation and redeemption was purchased by the Lamb of God. What was really nice is that the cross was made with replica nails that were used by the Romans during the time our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus was on the earth. They are symbolic because they represent the nails that pierce Jesus's hands and caused His precious blood to be shed for which we are cleanse from sin.
It makes a nice piece to decorate your house and remember our Prince of Peace Jesus. I am so happy that i purchased this fantastic item for myself but in my opinion it would make for a unique unexpected gift.
