This is by far the very best and most understandable book about creation vs. evolution that I have ever read. The author's writing style is engaging, but never preachy, and he shows great respect for scientists on both sides of the debate. In fascinating yet understandable detail, he spells out why the evidence (which is the SAME evidence used by both creationists and evolutionists) gives more weight to creation than to anything else. He is an expert at "speaking the truth in love" without shutting out all other arguments wholesale, before giving them consideration. He shows why, after pondering ALL the evidence, and honestly considering EVERY point, that the overwhelming majority of the evidence we have points directly towards the Bible! Why, as Christians, we need not be afraid to consider all the evidence and hear opposing viewpoints; and why, based on this evidence, he not only became a Christian himself after being a staunch evolutionist, but encourages everyone to thoughtfully consider their own need for both knowledge and for a Savior. Excellent, down-to-earth, full of information - I cannot recommend this book enough! If it is the ONLY book on apologetics you ever read, you will have chosen well!

A great book. Tells Dr. Parker's personal story from teaching evolution in college science class to becoming a Biblical creationist. Deals primarily with design in nature, geology and the difference between change and evolution. An excellent book. If you enjoy science you must add this book to your library.

This book is not only easy to read and easy to follow, but it is also entertaining and intellectually stimulating. It is written by a man who speaks with authority not only due to his academic qualifications, but because his chosen fields of study have deeply affected his faith and view of the world around him. Having examined all of the evidence and having held convictions on both sides of the issue, although Parker speaks from both personal and academic authority, he comes across as a humble, open, and fair-minded man who only desires to follow the evidence where it leads, and to present the facts to others who want to objectively examine all of the evidence so that they can make a well-informed and logical decision--one that they can then base their lives upon.
