Created for Commitment
This is an excellent autobiography of the founder of Bible Study Fellowship. I admire the humility with which it was written. I found encouragement in the uplifting telling of A. Wetherell Johnson's personal spiritual journey.

Anyone who thinks missionary life is boring needs to read this book. This is a real page-turner. Wetherell's submission to God's will produces fruit beyond what she could have imagined and continues today almost 25 years after her death.

This was a most interesting and inspiring book. Only by the power of God could this woman accomplish what she did for the glory of Christ. I was amazed of her stamina and love for God all through such horrible trials. Even during the writing of this book she was battling a painful form of cancer. You can truly see how she lived her life totally for Christ and was not questioning her suffering but persevered and kept her faith and love for God to the very end. This is one lady I want to meet when I get to heaven. I am a member of Bible Study Fellowship and I have benefited from A. Wetherell Johnson's obedience and commitment to studying God's Word and teaching others how to study the Word for themselves. I thank God for touching this woman's life and in turn touching mine.

I could not put this book down. I rarely read biographies, and this one sat on my shelf for a couple of months. I took it on vacation with me because I wanted to know about Miss Johnson, but I wondered if I'd get through it. I finished it in 2 days, but I want to read it again. It reads like a letter from a dear friend who is telling of her experiences, and I couldn't wait to turn the page to see what happened to my friend next. A must read!
