Kathy Farber5 Stars Out Of 5November 17, 2008Kathy FarberThis show is incredible. I teach preschool for 4 and 5 year olds. They eat this up!! We ordered several Cd's as well, and integrated it into our curriculum. The kids absolutely adore Cowboy Dan. I also have three children of my own who can sing every word to every song on his albums, and never miss his show. A perfect gift for every child.

Tell us a little about yourself. I was born and raised in West Texas where my roots run deep. Although I earned a degree in Agriculture from Abilene Christian University, I always wanted to pursue music and songwriting. This brought me to Nashville and my career as a children's artist has pursued me.
What was your motivation behind this project? I love to sing and perform for kids and families. I believe in what I do and I have always tried to bring my audiences quality entertainment and a wholesome message. Now, I hope they will invite me into their homes.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? First, I just hope folks will have fun and enjoy this project. I know I had fun making it. Of course I want our kids to get a message and that message is that Jesus Christ is the only sure foundation on which to build our lives. I also believe that message comes through a little better when delivered with laughter and a smile.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? When I was a kid, I loved the song "The Wise Man"..."The wise man built his house upon the rock... and the rains came a'tumblin down" I loved to make the motions as the rain came down and the floods came up. As an adult who has lived through many storms, I now appreciate the last part of that verse which says,"and the wise man's house stood firm." Jesus Christ is my Firm Foundation.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My mother is my biggest musical influence. She loved the Classic Country of Buck Owens, Jim Reeves, and Dolly Parton. She also opened up to me the beautiful Western music of The Sons Of The Pioneers and the toe-tapping beat of Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys.
