Dubbed the billion-dollar babies, Kara and Lizzie have known only squalor, neglect, and lies. Robbed of their birthright by a legal technicality, the twins are "raised" by greedy relatives. But when their stepmother finally tracks them down, she discovers two deceived and angry 18-year-olds. Can she prove her love---and will they believe in grace?
Beautiful, precocious three-year-old twins Kara and Lizzie Holbrooke live a charmed life with their widowed but doting father, Jack. When he found love and married again, it seemed their lives would finally be "happy ever after."
That new life shatters when Jack and his wealthy parents are killed in a plane crash. Jacks new wife, Amanda, inherits the familys estate but fails to gain custody of the twins.
And so begins an emotionally charged story that encourages readers to embrace the unique life God has planned for each of His children.

Kara & Lizzie's life has many turns after the death of their mother to cancer, their father and grandparents in a plane crash. Being wealthy these children are placed in a life of poverty while their inheritance is being wasted by those who were to care for them. While their life goes on like this there is some one out in the world who wants to give them their inheritance. This inheritance is like the life Jesus offers to us, if we but accept it. This is a great story and one that leaves one thinking.
