Excellent Book
I enjoyed this book tremendously. The reason being is the book just didnâÂÂt end abruptly after a proposal or marriage. It was very different than most books. The book engaged you through trials and joys. It reminds you of what opportunities in life you will miss out on if you do not forgive and allow God to change your heart. You miss out on so many things if you canâÂÂt forgive. I am not going to explain the book anymore becuase I don't want to give away anything. Please read it for yourself.
I normally do not write reviews on books but I couldnâÂÂt stop from writing one on this book. I canâÂÂt wait to read more of her books. Thank you for an excellent book I read this book in one day as I couldnâÂÂt put it down!

Wonderful Story!
The characters were very appealing. And the story wasn't over when Morrow decides who she loves and gets married. You get to follow their married life and see how things work out. Also it was interesting to learn about Native Americans from the southeastern part of the country.

A Must Read!!!!
This is the first Laura Franz book that I read, and from the outset I wasn't sure how interested I'd be in the topic. I am not a fan of Colonial American fiction, and prefer the late Westward Expansion Era 1880-1900. However, to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Not only was the history meticulous and effortless, but the the landscape was captivating. I fell in love with Kentucky, at least as it was then. The plot was believable with a few interesting turns. The characters were real and honest, sparking my curiosity. The drama was flawless as well. Lastly, I would add the I was uplifted in my spirit and inspired to spend time writing myself afterwards.
I truly recommend this book to anyone who likes history, romance, or would like a trip to another place for awhile. I also recommend her other novels based on Kentucky, the Frontiersman's Daughter and the Colonel's Lady, both different than this one, but almost equally enjoyable if not better.
