I am a supervisor on a mid-western police department. I saw the movie with my wife in the theater when it came out in 2012. The audience stood up and applauded at the end of the movie at both viewings.
I purchased 20 DVD's for the Officers (I think they're all Courageous!) of my shift and offered it to them at Christmas time as a gift, if they were willing to accept it. All but 2 officers asked for a DVD. I had positive comments from those officers (men and women) after they watched it.
Very touching movie. So touching that tears were flowing. You could feel that family's pain for the difficult trial they were going through. The storms in life can hit without warnings and then you find yourself crying out to God.
