I'm taking my time with it because there is a lot to take in.
Gloria1 Stars Out Of 5April 21, 2010GloriaWhile there are aspects of this book that can be very helpful, I would strongly caution the use of it. As stated in the other reviews, it is not Bible-based and can actually cause quite a bit of confusion about what is truth (not only in how to heal but about what may have actually happened to the person). There are some useful exercises, but again - must be used with great care.
Debi1 Stars Out Of 5January 4, 2010DebiWhile Laura Davis is to be commended for bringing survivor issues to the forefront of our nation's conciousness, this book should not be regarded as a Christian perspective on healing. As the previous rater has stated forgiveness is not valued in the healing process (anger is regarded as the defining goal of healing), and throughout the book homosexuality is discussed and legitimized. With so many GOOD, BIBLICALLY based books on the market, this book is best left to the secular world.
Darlene1 Stars Out Of 5June 13, 2009DarleneThis book is not biblical. I have worked through some of this book before I had a relationship with Christ. It encourages one not to forgive if you don't want to and condones homosexuality which is unbiblical.
