I just paid almost $20 for this CD in my local Christian products store, and I thought it was too much for this project... UNTIL I PUT THE CD IN MY CAR. From start to end, this is hardcore Christian New York rap. Is that an oxymoron? Hardcore Christian? Well, the lyrics are gritty, talking about everything from drug sales, shootings, street life, to everything. That's hardcore. The theology isn't stripped down. It's in your face, no-holds barred, and unrelenting ("There's no more grey lines, either you with Jesus or not. Either your soul's headed for heaven or in the pit you rot!"). That's hardcore. But Christian. If you like Jadakiss, D-Block, N.O.R.E., or Fabolous type emcees, then this one's for you.
