I agree with some of the other customer ratings. This should not be listed as a "Christian" novel. I think I will be a lot more careful about purchasing Christian novels through this company. Who edits your books?

Like the book before, it was a great page turner, wondering how everything would work togeather in the end. However, as a Christian novel, I was very dissapointed that the plot stood much on seances, speaking to the dead, ghosts, etc. It's not in the Christian belief at all, and I'm not really impressed that Collins used that practically as a foundation for the novel.

Another winner. This book was fascinating. Can't wait to read the next in the series. Brandilyn Collins is certainly one to look forwarde to in Christian suspense.

Be prepared to get the willies with this one. A nail biter from begining to end. Reserve a day for yourself too read this book, because once you start you will stay to the end. This book is so thick with suspense you could cut it with a knife. And the next book looks just as exciting.

Did not like this book. It dealt too much about the occult, seances, etc. From the description, thought it was just an ordinary mystery.

If you love mystery, intrigue and suspense than hold onto your seat as author Brandilyn Collins gives you a glimpse of the unseen realm of demonic forces and how God places prayer on the hearts of His people even those who question who He is and has everyone looking to the pastor for guidance. Coral Moon is the second book of the author’s new series, the first being Violet Dawn all revolve around the sleepy little Town of Kenner Lake. Brandilyn Collins has a way with words so much so that you find yourself not being able to put down this awesome page turner. The characters jump right off the page at you, characters or people you feel you know and become entangled in their lives. If you’re new to Brandilyn Collins as this reviewer is you’ll find yourself wanting to read all ten of her other 3 series of books, while waiting in anticipation as to what is in store next for the people of Kenner Lake in the third book Crimson Eve. Word of advice don’t read Coral Moon alone on a dark and stormy night!

Clear your calendar before you even open this book. Brandilyn Collins has woven another spellbinding tapestry of story, suspense and characterization. Book two in the Kanner Lake Series does not disappoint. Leslie Williams strives to be a great journalist. Her role in solving the Edna Sans murder six months ago catapulted her career into new directions. The quiet little mountain vacation spot of Kanner Lake was also catapulted into a grander focus of tourism. Battle lines against change are drawn. Leslie determines to investigate both sides. Her plans alter the morning she walks out to her car and discovers a dead body with a note and a number attached. Her life spirals into a whirlwind of murder and séances as both human and spiritual forces that threaten to destroy her peaceful community and her self-confidence. Brandilyn Collins has created a town in Idaho where you may wish you lived, but not until it’s solace returns. From the first sentence you will be hooked. Be sure to leave a light on, because things happen in the night. And, if by chance, you look into the sky and see a crescent moon the color of coral, think of the folks in Kanner Lake and remember to breathe.

Kanner Lake reporter Leslie Brymes heads towards her car in the driveway as she does every work day; however, this morning is different as someone with a green towel on their head sits inside her vehicle. She looks closer to find a murdered female whose battered face she recognizes with a note pinned to her shirt. Leslie’s roommate Paige Williams calls Kanner Lake Police Chief Vince Edwards to inform him of the corpse in the car. He leads the official investigation into the homicide of septuagenarian Vesta Johnson, a nice elderly person with no known enemies and a fixture at the New Community Church. Vince wonders why the killer connected Vesta to Leslie, but all clues lead to a dead person; soon others in the small Idaho town are murdered too. Maybe it is her journalist blood or the taunting of receiving the first body, but Leslie also begins making inquiries seeking a connecting motive. The second Kanner Lake (see VIOLET DAWN) mystery is a delightful small town whodunit with seemingly paranormal elements. The murders stand out in contrast to the pastoral serene environment of Kanner Lake where townsfolk know one another and can leave doors unlocked. The reactions starting with Leslie, Paige and Vince and ultimately the townsfolk make for a fine thriller as each asks the Lord the same question: why me even as that person still lives. Cozy readers will appreciate this horrifying week in a small Idaho town. Harriet Klausner
