He holds a PhD in philosophy from Loyola University and is the chancellor and distinguished professor of theology and apologetics at Veritas Evangelical Seminary in southern California (www.VeritasSeminary.com). David Geisler received his Th.M. and M.A.B.S. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. He has been involved in church and para-church collge ministry for 15-plus years. He is currently the founder and President of Meekness and Truth Ministries located in Charlotte but he currently lives with his family in Singapore. Dave has taught his Conversational Evangelism approach at churches, ministries, and seminaries.

I am reading this book and it really makes me think and reconsider how I have failed trying to reach to others with the gospel simply because I ignored the others needs, barriers and their non-understanding of the basics of the gospel as we see it so often in our world today. I find a new desire and motivation to reach out to others; only now I will seek the prepare the soil and understand where the people I want to reach do stand before I share anything about Christ. This seem like a method to apply but if you consider how Jesus ask questions you will understand why we so often fail and get frustrated trying to share the whole gospel at once in a 4 steps presentation. Though God may still use the 4 steps gospel presentation, the majority of the people around us will need to have their hearts prepared. As a farmer prepares the soil before he sows, so ought we to do so in our mulitucutural, multifaith and postmodern world. As the son of a farmer, I wonder why I did not understand this before.
