Product Description

Though your Christian life may appear to be perfect to others, do you secretly feel that your soul is starved . . . but you can't stop your ministry activities long enough to worry about it? Do you have everything you're working for . . . except the joy Jesus promised? In Content to Be Good, Called to Be Godly, Janet Denison challenges committed Christians whose faith has stagnated to rediscover the joy of dependence on the Lord. With caring guidance and support from someone who's been there, you'll move from a programmed, treadmill walk of faith to the freedom and joy of a God-driven, God-filled life.

It would be hard to select a favorite chapter. I learned from them all. I think all of us experience times in our lives when we are empty and don't know why. This book helped me recognize the signs of an unfulfilled soul and gave me the tools to discover my specific purpose in God's kingdom. We live in a world that glorifies "stuff" and Chapter 8 and 10 specifically spoke to me about God's priorties vs the world's. How refreshing to read a spiritual book that is candid and real, written by a pastor's wife who obviously has a great sense of humor!
