Publisher's Description

The story of our fall and redemption is revealed in this moving series of meditations, leading us from the garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem, from Genesis to Revelation. The chapters---connected by a theme of wood, of trees, of the cross of Christ---use references ranging from biblical passages to masterpieces of Russian literature.
