99% of advice on confrontation to correct wrongs is common sense. The liberalism in this book surprised and irritated me. Augsburger's position on the war, adultery, and church is off the biblical mark.

After leading Bible studies and recovery-related groups--and after small group-trainingclasses and many books, etc.,--- I found that this book makes a very courageous and effective effort to delve into an oft-avoidedarea of communication. In "everyday language",it is accessible; in "common sense" esamples, it is approachable; in tying in Biblicalcontexts throughout, it is clarifying. Thiscomplex topic of "confrontation" has enough nuance to 'work through' in the clear-cut language judiciously used. For others, it maybe lacking in academic, scientific, theologicor other meta-language; for me, it worked verywell---to learn from, grasp, apply, and even-tually share. I benefitted greatly from DavidAugsburger's work!
