This book is very concise and right to the point. Each topic is covered in about 2-5 pages and is thorough and well presented. I recommend this book.

Arguably the best summarization of the historic christian beliefs. The essentials are expressed in a way you can both easily understand and truly appreciate how Christian theology is also a way of life, not just a system of beliefs.

This book does an awesome job of summing up theology by topics. Packer makes theology very simple in this book, 6th graders could understand it. You can go as deep as you want, because there is a lot scripture references that make this book biblically sound.

Packer really writes to both mind and heart, as opposed to much of the literary garbage that comes out under the label "Christian literature" that many gullible Christians eat up. Entries in this book are concise, "bite-size" explanations of doctrines, and the format allows the person to incorporate it with his or her devotional reading. This is one great book, and while I do not agree with everything he said, I'd still consider it a definite plus to any Christian book collection.
