Today's evangelistic emphasis is often on preaching to strangers, anonymous crowds, and in foreign countries. But according to this newly revised edition of W. Oscar Thompson Jr.'s classic work, a successful ministry always starts at home. In Concentric Circles of Concern, Dr. Thompson gives specific details on how best to share Christ's love by meeting the spiritual needs of close family first, followed by friends, and then all others, moving outward in concentric circles. Published posthumously, this book remains a living testament to Dr. Thompson's innovative method. Complete with testimonial strategies and biblical encouragement, this book is a precise and powerful guide to lifestyle evangelism, suitable for church study groups, conferences, or personal use.

I first read this book as a seminarian in the 1980's. I used the first edition as the basis of a term paper in 1987. I will use this revised edition as the foundational book for a class on personal evangelism that I will be teaching beginning in August 2009. Anyone who is interested in personal evangelism should put this book on their list as a "must read."

This book is the tool God used to rebuild my relationship with my mom and dad. It was also the tool he used to give me vision to find family members and I have now shared Jesus with almost all of them! Get it! Use it! It will change your life and give you passion and vision you never thought you could have!
