Not a fancy book but excellent content. I gave three of these books as Christmas gifts to co-workers - one who is a devout Christian, one who is constantly reading self-help books, and one who is just an average-Joe type of guy. The book is written using simple common language and gets right to the point. Another Spurgeon masterpiece. December 30, 2010

Oh! This is one of the most beautiful classic ever produced. You can't get to the second page of this masterpiece before you get to know it's really talking to everybody's secret sin and solution to it. The good thing about it is that it makes you want to be a better person as you keep flipping the pages, instead of making you feeling guilty. It's not judgmental and it's doesn't single anyone or any sin out. It's a bible even to an unbeliever. Just like its name...really a plain talk for everyone. January 6, 2008
