I am a pastor's wife and attended a ministry conference at Frontier School of the Bible in LaGrange, WY where I met Barbara Hughes, author of Disciplines of a Godly Woman. I asked her if she could recommend any good women's Bible studies. I am not a fan of "fill in the blank" type Bible studies. I appreciate in-depth book studies where when finished I feel like I really gleaned the book's purpose, context, and know the book as a whole and then draw application. She recommended Kathleen Nielson's study on Proverbs. It was the first one of her studies I used for our ladies' Bible studies and it was excellent. Next we did the Colossians and Philemon study which also was excellent. I look forward to doing Kathleen's study on 1st & 2nd Thessalonians next. When I finish one of Kathleen's Bible studies, I feel I really know that particular book SO MUCH better. I appreciate how Kathleen has taught me to "think" about "how" I approach the Bible as I study it. Thank you, Kathleen, and please keep writing more Bible studies.
