In this concise book, one of America's most influential pastors puts forth a model of church leadership that is both biblically sound and practically effective.
MARK DRISCOLL is the founding pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, one of the fastest-growing churches in America. He leads the Acts 29 Church Planting Network and the Resurgence Missional Theology Cooperative. The Church Report has recognized him as the eighth most influential pastor in America. He is the author of several books, including Crossway's Vintage Jesus.
In his book On Church Leadership, Driscoll focuses on such church leadership areas as Pastor Jesus, Elders, Deacons, Members, Women in ministry, leadership teams and then follows these sections with answers to common questions, recommended reading and a sample church covenant. In the final book in the series (or 1st book, depending on your perspective), On Who is God?, Driscoll gives a succinct summary of Theology Proper (the doctrines of God). He covers such important issues as knowledge about God, the nature of God, the incarnation of God and more. Again he follows these sections with a list of web-related and book resources.
This series is a great resource for individuals and churches. I highly recommend these books for new believers or young believers (teens, especially). Driscoll really presents these subjects in a very readable and easy to understand format without sacrificing solid biblical content. For those familiar with Driscoll, he also avoids some of the more controversial styles or content that he has been known for in the past. Instead he lets the content of Truth remain the sole area of controversy. These are great books to give away and/or stock in your library and costing around $10 retail they are affordable, too. - Pastor Todd Burgett, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com

Jeremy Gardiner4 Stars Out Of 5March 30, 2009Jeremy GardinerGood read. Covers all the major topics regarding Church Government and Leadership. The largest section of the book is on Women in Ministry. For those that are wondering, it promotes a plurality of male elders and allows female deacons. If i was to loan this out i'd give the booklet by Alexander Strauch called "Biblical Eldership" to the older generation and this one to the younger generation. Mark's humor which is scattered throughout this book limits him to younger (-30) people.
