Malcolm Muggeridge had an interesting life.
February 19, 2013
Malcolm Muggeridge went to Russia as a young man because he thought socialism was the answer. While there he saw how Stalin had starved his own people. He also taught school in India which was a favorite part of his life. He became a journalist and was very cynical about the profession. If memory serves correctly, he also became a spy for Britain in WW2, during which time he took a swim in order to drown himself. During this swim, his life took on new meaning. He did not drown himself but became a Christian instead. (It's been a while since I read this so you better check me on the facts.)
