In Revelation 22:16-17, the last "red-letter" verses in the Bible, Christ gives us His last statements about Himself and His ministry. In this scarce book, the Puritan William Greenhill opens and expounds this often neglected text, showing the significance of Christ being the root and the offspring of David. And then he clearly and passionately reveals the heart of Christ towards sinners, freely offering the gospel to "him that is athirst, and whosoever will come." 211 page hardcover from Soli Deo Gloria.
The final words of Christ are found in Revelation 22:16-17, "Come And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." Greenhill's sermons on this passage comprise some of the finest material on the free offer of the gospel. The sweetness of Christ and the tenderness of His dealings with sinners are presented here as only a theologian of the heart like Greenhill could do. William Greenhill was also the author of the commentary on Ezekiel, recently reprinted by Banner of Truth in their Geneva Series.
