Tell us a little about yourself. Well, let's see. I am a wife, mom of three, and
hold a degree in mechanical engineering. Two of
our three children are now in college, and one
is still at home, learning along with me. We
live on our tree farm in the Appalachian
mountains in Tennessee, and stay busy growing
kids and trees, surrounded by breath-taking
beauty that God created.
What was your motivation behind this project? From the preparation and celebration of harvest
and Thanksgiving to the last day of the Twelve
Days of Christmas, there is a wonderful feeling
of caring and sharing everywhere this time of
year, and as homeschooling families, we can take
this time to learn, prepare our homes and our
hearts, and share with others throughout the
year. I wrote the Christmas study to help share
this special time with other families.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? When so many material wants and desires threaten
to obscure the true meaning of Christmas, this
study will help bring back into focus how the
birth of a tiny baby changed the whole world!
This four-week study is complete on this CD-ROM,
no other books or planning required. It is my
prayer that you and your family can use this
study together, enjoying the preparation for the
holiday as you all learn about the prophecy and
birth of Jesus, and much more.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I have had several authors that have influenced
my interest and my writing about Christmas. They
include Ruth Bell Graham, Jan Karon, and the
writing and art of Tasha Tudor.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: This study is complete on the CD-ROM - no other
books required. The study is printable from the
CD-ROM, and has clickable Internet resource links
included throughout the daily lessons. As a
bonus, there is a printable file on the CD-ROM
that includes printable Christmas notebooking
pages! Blessed Christmas!
