Christmas Dog, The - eBook 4.2 5 6 6

This story is about an old lady who reminds me of Ebenzer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. Unhappy & not on the best terms with her family, she feels that the Holidays are nothing to look forward to. The dog doesn't even enter the story until about halfway thru the book. This book was hard for me to get into, I almost stopped reading it because the first couple chapters were so depressing & boring. Once I got past that, the book got better. Nevertheless, I never liked the main character (maybe I am too young to understand her, I am closer in age to her granddaughter). January 10, 2013

Delightful!! Melody never lets me down - this is such an adorable story, full of surprises and a wonderful plot. I read the hardback form, but no matter how you read it, I can promise you a treat. Every time I stopped I had a smile on my face and couldn't wait to come back to it. It's a great story to read during the Christmas season, but to tell you the truth, I would have enjoyed it anytime. This little dog will steal your heart, and the rest of the characters will keep you wondering. It's at a fabulous price, so grab a copy for yourself. I recommend this story for teens or adults. Cute! I really enjoyed this Christmas story! I thought it was a little slow at first, but the story really picked up and it was wonderful! I borrowed this book from the library and I'm thinking about buying a copying for my bookshelf! :) November 9, 2011
