already wrote a review for the Christmas Card. in A Grandpa for Christmas the young lady who plays the lead is an excellent actress and singer/dancer. the adult actors are all well known seasoned pros, so the acting is top notch. the story is a good one, ending with go tell it on the mountain. emphasizes family. but: clearly censors a cuss word in the hospital scene so you know what should have been (and probably was ) said in the original. overemphasizes outward appearances , quoting 'yogi' berra 'it's not over until the fat lady sings'. this is insensitive to those who struggle with their weight and an unfortunate addition to an otherwise positive film. also overemphasizes to young people the importance of entertainment as opposed to hard work and determination. many young people want to emulate madonna and other male singers and actors, because of the overemphasis of these values in our culture. good character is and always has been #1. : )

This was hard to rate, as I LOVE a Christmas card and was SO excited to see it!! But a Grandpa for Christmas, was nothing short of fresh and rude and I couldn't even stand to finish watching it. I actually threw it out and am embarrassed that it came as part of a set, as I bought 2 other packages to give as gifts. Please rethink combining them, as it robs the joy of the Christmas Card and if someone should watch it first, I fear they may miss the blessing of the second.
