I found this workbook to be of great help in my walk through the

recovery process. It certainly does not take the place of meetings,

but is divided into appoximately 70 topics that can be addressed in

any order, as the issues arise in the recovery journey. Each topic

has an accompanying scripture, discussion and then questions for

self-examination. I found that this structure helped my understanding

of topics and questions as they appeared in the recovery process.

I think this book would be helpful for any Christian involved in a

recovery program. Pull up the table of contents to see the topics

addressed, but they run the gamut from "Loneliness" to "Leap of Faith."

This book teaches me to look at my life through biblical understandings and to examine long held fears that had led me into life controlling problems. Addictions, dysfunctions, abuses, accumulated losses, depressions and choosing unhealthy relationships.

It asks questions that shake loose old wounded foundations that amounted to powerlessness in some areas of my life and shows me that Christ Jesus is the Power I need. CIR Workbook and Meeting Guide gives me tools that I can use to utilize The Word and Recovery principles to overcome and live an abundant life free of what had kept me bound in the Past.

If you are looking for a way out of what keeps you bound and making wounded choices in your life over and over, take a look at this book and New look at yourself and God in a way that will become freedom in your life.

I just got a copy of this workbook a few weeks ago and was amazed at the insight into myself and my recovery it produced. I've worked through the steps many times, including the 4th and 5th steps, and chair a weekly step meeting. But some of the questions in this workbook really helped me see things that I hadn't realized in twenty years of recovery. I'd recommend it both to the newcomer in recovery as well as the seasoned oldtimer.
