The accompanist edition of the hymnal is perfect for organist and pianist; the pages lay flat without unexpected flipping during the hymn. The pages can even be removed and put into order of worship beforehand, then replaced after the service. (Be careful with this, though; it's easy to get in a hurry after the service and plan to replace the pages later. That's when they get lost.) The index at the back with guitar chords is a great reference, and the modulations to help you go from one hymn to another smoothly is valuable if, like me, you never learned to do that by ear. The Scriptural Allusion Index is great in planning worship services around the pastor's sermon, and the Metrical Index is wonderful if you want to mix up tunes and lyrics for a bit of a change. There are other resources which I haven't used yet, but all in all, I give this hymnal an outstanding rating.
