Well balanced The introduction to topics is interesting with good examples. The biblical view is given first and then only are the problems broken down. Counseling steps are then provided and even things to lookout for. Good book to have on your bookshelf! December 16, 2011

Most comprehensive guide to Christian Counseling. This edition of "Christian Counseling" is a brilliant guide to most questions of interest within this topic. It is both scholarly and practical. It is very readable. Most will appreciate CollinsÃ¢ÂÂ clear method of presenting an issue, even when disagreeing with a given conclusion. He somehow manages to be fair and even in his discussions while still being firm in his conclusions (when warranted). Highly recommended to any Pastor, minister, or spiritual counselor. A very useful and updated guide for counseling. For those Counselors who rely upon the Word of God as the base, and look for Bible based guidance, this is the ideal text. March 17, 2011
