Designed to complement Susan Schaeffer Macaulay's book For the Children's Sake, this delightful tome offers answers to some of the most common questions about Charlotte Mason's methodology such as "What are living books?", "What does a Charlotte Mason education look like in this country?" and more. Emphasizing the Hebrew model of education, the practical and biblical emphasis of her methodology is explored. Both the ideals of Charlotte Mason, with her pillars of learning, plus the practical, applicational aspects are included. 254 pages, softcover, indexed.

Andreola Review
Some years back, I was invited to Atlanta, Georgia, to speak to the teachers of a group of Charlotte Mason-based Christian schools. I felt nervous as well as honored. Everyone I addressed had more formal education than I had. This didnt matter, however, as the focus was on Miss Masons wonderful ideas. I stayed that weekend with headmistress Maryellen St. Cyr and her other guest, Miss Eve Andersona retired headmistress of a C.M.-based school in Oxford, England. I greatly admire these ladies for their work and love for children. They, as well as other dedicated and experienced teachers, are contributors to When Children Love to Learn. Although meant primarily for those involved with schools, this books message is, without doubt, applicable to those of us daring few who home educate. Chapter topics are similar to those of my book, A Charlotte Mason Companionliving books, narration, nature study, Shakespeare, and music and art appreciationwith some meaty essays on Miss Masons philosophy. Timetables and samples of coursework (in use currently in established schools) are included. 254 pages, softcover from Crossway Books.
