Chasing Dream - eBook
fun horse story
Chasing Dream is the third book IâÂÂve read to my girls in the Backyard Horses series. All the books read pretty much the same. They are fun horse stories with good morals. There are fun horse facts in the back and a chart to learn some sign language. The stories are a bit slow, but other than that, they are sweet stories.

Good Book for Tween/Teen Horse Lovers
In Chasing Dream, Ellie yearns for people to see her horse, Dream, as more than your typical horse. She wants people to think that Dream is a great horse. Ellie sets up a competitive horse race for her 4th grade class thinking that Dream would win. However, much to her dismay, Dream loses heart in the middle of the race causing them to lose first place. As Ellie thinks of something else to show off DreamâÂÂs greatness to her peers, Dream starts to behave strangely. First, she keeps getting out of her yard by jumping the fence. Then, she starts to shy away from others. Finally, she paws the ground anxiously and when she refuses to jump jumps, Ellie knows that something is terribly wrong with Dream. After Dream is diagnosed with colic, Ellie finally realizes what is more important than getting her peersâ awe of Dream: loving Dream and others for being as they are just as God loves Ellie for being Ellie. This is a great book for tween/teen horse lovers. As an adult, I found this book to have a good message of accepting others for who they are and loving them as God loves us.

Very Nice Story for Kids
Horse lovers will enjoy this very charming series. Ellie shows her love for her horse, Dream, in sweet ways, and I enjoyed her quirks. I like the way she thanks God for the happy times as well as going to him when things are tough. The family and friends support her when trouble comes, as well. I like the sign language alphabet and the horse talk in the back.

Ellie loves her horse, Dream, even though a girl at school makes fun of her. Ellie wants everyone to know her horse is the best, so she organizes a horse race.
I liked this book about Ellie and her "backyard horse". Ellie seems like a typical fourth grader, just a horse crazy one who daydreams about horses constantly.
