EllenFort Worth, TXAge: 55-65Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Would have made a good movieMarch 14, 2014EllenFort Worth, TXAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 2As a book, it held my attention until the end when it abruptly ended. My Kindle Fire sometimes jumps ahead if I tap it just so. I had to scroll back to see what I missed.
This story would make a great movie with all the action. Movies easily transcend time-jumps better than books. I was left wondering what happened???
love2readAge: 45-54Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5quite disappointingAugust 16, 2012love2readAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1was this book supposed to be a christian novel?
I did love the parts about the horses. that was beautiful. the characters were kind of nicely developed. Maggie's choice in the end doesn't make any sense.
the storytelling is not bad but there is room for improvement and there's not really much depth to the story itself and the way it is told - it could have been an awesome story but Paige Lee Elliston chose the light version...
this book doesn't make me want to read more of this writer.

BarbVirginiaAge: Over 65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A great story for horselovers!July 28, 2012BarbVirginiaAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3My first reaction to this story was the outstanding descriptions of the Montana countryside and of all things having to do with horses.
However, I found the story line a bit difficult to follow, particularly the ending. Maggie's choice at the end did not seem to suit her personality and interests. The ending did not flow smoothly from the story. If it was intended as a surprise ending, it was but not a satisfactory one.
I would recommend this book to a friend just so we could discuss the relationships as they unfolded and consider what would have made the flow more complete.
