Using the theme of the census ordered by King Herod at the time of Jesus' birth and the reason Mary and Joseph came to Bethlehem 2,000 years ago, Pamela Vandewalker and Cherry Garasi wrote a clever musical on the many names of Jesus. Emmanuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Son of the Living God...our Savior and Lord will teach children and adults the meaning of the Advent season - watching, waiting, and longing for the coming of Jesus.
The music is easy-to-sing, stylistically diverse, and written for unison voices. Melody and chords are provided. Cast = Mary, Joseph, Census Taker, 3 Shepherds, and Optional Street Scene Persons plus choir.
Advent Devotionals are provided (5)
