This is great! We just started home schooling and I was looking for a devotion to do with my children to start the day. They make the kids giggle and think at the same time. Great activities. I would recommend this to any home schooling family.

Tell us a little about yourself. I am the homeschooling mom of four wonderful
children. We have homeschooled in North
Carolina, Florida, Virginia, California,
Washington, and now, Georgia. My husband is a
medical entomologist in the U.S. Navy, and our
children range in age from 5 to 14.
What was your motivation behind this project? I love an excuse to celebrate! After finding
several silly (but real!) holidays, like
National Aardvark Week and National Tootsie Roll
Day, and incorporating them into our school day,
I decided to challenge myself to find a holiday
for every day of the year. Well, after several
years of working on this project, I did indeed
find a holiday to celebrate, every day of the
year.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that my book encourages families to
celebrate God in every part of their lives, from
the very silly to the very serious - from the
very minute to the enormous. After all, God is
the reason for every season, right?
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Each devotion in my book is centered around a
unique, fun holiday. The sections that follow on
a concise, one-page format for each day are as
follows: related Bible passaage, questions to
discuss, related activity, curriculum
connection, verse to remember, and prayer
suggestion. All families - not just
homeschoolers - who enjoy sharing God's Word
together as a family in a fun, creative way,
will enjoy my book.
